where is my energy??

I am feeling badly that I have not been doing any sewing lately...............I am reading book after book, but not sewing........why is that?
all the guilds are getting back into action - perhaps that will help spur me on.
And with the High Holidays in 2 weeks, who knows when I will get to my sewing room.

2009 and I blog!

This is my very own blog!!!!!!!!! I can't remember starting it, but I am glad I have it!
I belong to a co-op blog, made up of 4 local quilting guilds - this has encouraged me to try my hand at my own blog.
So, last night was our first guild meeting of the season. It is our 8th year and I am copresident with two other friends.............we really have a wonderful executive and lots of wonderful women in our group. I am so lucky to count several of the members among my friends.
I am excited that I will be "leading" some of the demos this year. The first one will be about 'needleturn applique', which I think is my favorite technique. We will be doing an apple with 2 leaves, to signify autumn, harvest, and Rosh Hashonah. The group will learn about curves and points and did I say I am so excited to be teaching this?!!!!!!!!!??????
